As digital camera technologies develop, methods of photography vary according to different types of cameras you use. In this course, you will be able to learn the basic knowledge for taking photos underwater and the latest techniques in underwater photography. Ways to compile your own photo book will also be covered. The course will consist of ten lessons and series of lessons will be uploaded on this site accordingly.

Lesson 3: Let's shoot using the Under Water Mode

Olympus digital cameras are equipped with four Under Water Modes that are specifically tuned for taking photos underwater. We will explain the different modes and how to use them according to different situations by showing sample photos.

Lesson 2: How to hold the camera and to press the shutter half way

You must learn to press the shutter button half way in order to use an auto focus camera. It is one of the basic techniques. In underwater situations where your body is floating unstably, it is important to learn the correct way to hold / aim the camera and to operate the shutter. Once you get used to it, your photographs will improve quickly.
