Olympus Announces "Olympus Viewer 2"

Olympus Imaging Corporation is pleased to announce the release of Olympus Viewer 2 software, which will replace Olympus Master 2 and Olympus Studio 2. The download of this new software is free of charge and is expected to start in early May 2010. It will be available on Olympus websites. The detailed schedule is to be announced shortly.

Sales of the Olympus Studio 2 trial application and sale of the license key will be discontinued effective April 27, 2010. Olympus Viewer 2 offers the same working environment as Olympus Studio 2, for example, as in the selection of images and development of RAW format image files.

The Olympus E-PL1 ships with [ib] software, which features sorting functions by date, face recognition, place, etc. In addition to this software, the new Olympus Viewer 2 is designed especially for photo editing, selection and RAW development. Olympus Viewer 2 is compatible with the latest operating systems, such as the Windows 7 and Mac OS X Snow Leopard.

Olympus Viewer 2 continues to offer RAW development with Art Filter effects and the e-Portrait and movie editing functions of Olympus Master 2 and Olympus Studio 2. It is also compatible with the E-PL1, the latest PEN camera and the latest operating systems.
