The WS-831 runs on a AAA battery that is readily available at convenience stores, so there is no need to worry about running out of power.

Large front speaker

The speaker is placed at the front to improve listening when playing back recorded voices. This enables you to clearly hear the recording being played back, even when the recorder is operated while on a desktop.

Convenient file splitting function

Large files or files of long durations can be split for easier management and editing.

  • File splitting is only compatible with MP3 files recorded with the recorder.

Convenient voice sync recording and VCVA

Voice sync recording (V-Sync.Rec)

Voice sync recording is a function that enables the recorder to automatically start recording once a voice louder than a pre set voice sync level (detection level) is detected. This function also stops recording automatically when the voice becomes quiet. When the pre set detection time elapses, the recorder closes the recording file and then enters a standby or stopped state.

VCVA is a function to start recording automatically upon detection of a voice louder than a pre-set voice start level, and pause recording automatically when the voice becomes quiet. It saves memory by automatically cutting out parts of a meeting where nobody speaks for a long time during recording.

Dedicated silicon case (sold separately) makes the recorder easy to hold

A slip-resistant easy-to-hold dedicated silicon case is sold separately as an option. This case protects your recorder from scratches.
