FL-50R Electronic Flash

FL-50R Electronic Flash

Olympus has developed an original wireless communication system called 'RC data transfer', which enables the use of advanced lighting effects. When used together with an interchangeable lens camera, it can produce subtle lighting effects just the way you want. This flash comes with multiple channels to prevent interference with other users, multiple flash modes, a slave function compatible with a large studio flash, and automatic zooming of the firing angle in accordance with the attached lens features that provide powerful support for professional photographers.

Features

Five Modes

TTL-AUTO

Measures the appropriate brightness with a pre-flash and then flashes.

AUTO

Uses the FL-50R light receptor window to control the amount of flash according to the lens aperture.

MANUAL

Flashes with the set guide number.

FP-TTL-AUTO

Synchronizes with the maximum shutter speed of each body.

FP-MANUAL

FP flash at the manually set amount of flash.

Designed Specifically for Digital Cameras

This flash is designed specifically for digital cameras by providing ideal brightness control, accurately controlling the amount of flash in 1/8 EV steps and minimising the decrease in the amount of light at the periphery of the image.

Wireless Multi-flash Photography

This flash makes use of a proprietary wireless communication system called 'RC data transfer'. This enables the setting of wireless flash control, and it can be used together with the FL-50R. In addition, it comes with four channels to prevent interference with other users.

Slave Function

This flash is equipped with a slave function that is usable with SP Series compact cameras with the slave mode function and Olympus interchangeable lens cameras with manual flash. The flash can also be linked and used with a large studio flash.
