The Digital Image Stabilisation mode prevents image blur caused by camera shake when shooting in low-light conditions and subject blur when capturing fast-moving scenes by using high-sensitivity settings up to ISO 1600 and high shutter speeds. In addition, thanks to Olympus' exclusive Bright Capture Technology, Candle* and Available Light Portrait* modes let you take pictures in low-light conditions with sensitivity settings of up to ISO 2500, without using a flash, so you can capture natural-looking images.
A 3X optical zoom lets you get up close, even to faraway subjects, and it can be combined with the 5X digital zoom for telephoto shooting at up to 15X.
Programme Auto mode, versatile Scene Programme modes, Super Macro mode, movie recording with sound, and other shooting functions, including exposure compensation and multiple flash setting modes, cover just about every possible shooting situation.

With the Shooting Guide, when you choose how you want to take a picture from the guide, the camera suggests how to take better pictures and sets the best mode to suit your shooting needs. In addition, the Scene Guide helps you to choose a Scene Programme mode, while the Menu Guide clearly explains the various menus.
You can add a decorative frame or title to your image, restore natural colour to red eyes in flash photos, turn the images taken into sepia pictures and much more.
Bright Capture Technology enables you to see clearly what you're shooting on the big LCD monitor, even at night or in dim interiors. Thanks to this innovative technology, the big LCD is bright and easy to view, making framing, focusing and checking compositions in dimly lit conditions very simple.
PictBridge support allows you to connect the camera to a PictBridge-compatible printer and print out images without a computer. Also, the "one touch" EASY PRINT button makes printing your image a snap.
