E-330

World's First*, Live View.

It's possible to take pictures while framing images right on the LCD. Now the digital SLR's mobility has become much more dynamic.
The new E-330 digital SLR is equipped with the world's first* Full-time Live View function that makes it possible to frame images on the LCD, as well as to use the traditional shooting style by looking though the finder. It is easy to frame shots from low angles to high angles on the LCD. Shooting style with digital SLRs has now become much more free, and far more active.

Focusing in Macro shooting used to be difficult, but by focusing through the LCD monitor, with a magnification of 10 times, it is now much easier and more accurate.

Manual focus with the Macro Live View function makes close-up focusing-an operation that was once very difficult to carry out-much easier. By looking at the big, high-definition LCD monitor, you can directly focus on the image. In fact, you can freely select the exact part of the image that you want to focus on by using the cursor, and then the Macro Live View's 10X magnification assures accurate macro focusing.

World's First*, Variable-angle LCD.

90 degrees up, or 45 degrees down. Taking pictures using high- or low-angle framing with the variable-angle LCD-usually a tiresome task-has now become very simple.

A variable-angle LCD, which can be moved freely from 90 degrees upwards to 45 degrees downwards, has been adapted, taking you into a new world of digital SLR photography.

Wide 160° viewing angle?from any angle, precise monitoring is possible.

Boasting a viewing angle of 160°, the HyperCrystal LCD monitor lets you clearly see images from any angle. Visibility in bright outdoor environments has also been improved, and together with its 215,000-pixel high resolution, the HyperCrystal LCD monitor assists easy framing with the new Live View.

Variable-angle Range: 90° Upwards, 45° Downwards

Newly developed 7.5-Megapixel Live MOS sensor.

High image quality with a dynamic range of gradations has been achieved.
The E-330 boasts a new image sensor that operates with lower power consumption, while maintaining superior image quality through its high-resolution, full-frame CCD. Compared to the conventional CMOS sensor, the optical aspect ratio produced by the Live MOS sensor in each pixel is larger, so photographic expression in more subtle tonal gradations is enabled, from the highlights to the shadows, and noise reduction has been enhanced. In addition, blue color reproducibility and the separation characteristics of the reds and greens have been greatly expanded. The vivid blues of the sky, the greens of foliage, and skin tones are accurately reproduced.
