Art Filter for a new creative perspective

Express yourself with Olympus's unique Art Filter. Professional-like techniques that are available only when using special lenses or image processing on a PC can now be obtained with the camera only, putting simple, one-touch creative power at your fingertips. The E-PL1 comes with six different Art Filter effects that expand the range of creative possibilities. Add one of these effects to your image and preview the results on the LCD monitor. RAW data development with Art Filter is also possible.

Multi-Aspect ratios to suit different creative requirements

Four aspect ratios are available: standard 4:3; 16:9 for impressive, cinematic-style images; 6:6 - used by medium-format cameras; and 3:2, which is equivalent to the 35mm film size. You can select the ratio that best suits your creative requirements.

With Live View, multi-exposure shooting is much easier because you can shoot the next frame while superimposing your last shot as a semi-transparent image, allowing you to see what your final result will look like.
